Brad Pitt gives Angelina Jolie an engagement ring

It’s official – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged and there’s a diamond engagement ring to prove it.
Although the celebrity couple, who have been together for seven years and have six children, had vowed not to get married until same sex marriage became universally legal in America, it seems they couldn’t hold out any longer, following pressure from their children to tie the knot.
MTV quoted Brad Pitt’s spokesperson as saying, "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy."
It is understood that Brad had a bespoke diamond engagement ring designed for Angelina and she was spotted wearing it in LA earlier this month. A spokesperson for the engagement ring designer said, “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a year-long collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so [the designer] was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand. “
The spokesman added, “The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality."
Some have speculated that the ring would have cost as much as $250,000.
