Diamond engagement rings in demand as Valentine’s Day approaches

There is set to be a spike in demand for both men’s engagement rings and women’s diamond engagement rings as Valentine’s Day approaches.
Recent research from the Diamond Information Center revealed that 220,000 people - both men and women - typically propose on Valentine’s Day. That means 14 February is the most popular day to get engaged in America.
Diamond rings are one of the most popular types of engagement ring and choosing the right ring is a big decision. Money expert Andrea Woroch, of Kinoli Inc, recently wrote for dscriber.com about how to choose the perfect diamond engagement ring.
First and foremost, she advises couples to do their research and to familiarize themselves with the ‘four Cs’ of diamonds - these are cut, carat, colour and clarity. She urges couples to discuss diamond engagement ring preferences and read around the topic before a decision is made.
Although a big sparkler makes a beautiful engagement ring, Woroch sounds a note of caution. She writes, “The biggest determinant of diamond price and beauty is the cut, not carat weight or size. Examine stones with a variety of cut grades to understand what qualifies as a well-cut and affordable diamond”.
