Justin Bieber causes stir with ‘engagement ring’

Pop sensation Justin Bieber set the celebrity gossip mill going when he appeared to be spotted wearing an engagement ring.
Bieber attended the Tribeca Film Festival with a ring on his wedding ring finger. He won the award for Disruptive Innovation at the event. Bieber’s manager, Scooter, quickly stepped in to quash rumors once he spotted the engagement ring gaffe.
Scooter swooped in and said, “I just realized that he's wearing a ring on his ring finger. So after we leave here he's not engaged, he's not married, but I'm going to have to deal with that later.”
Many in the audience chuckled, whilst Bieber commented, “Didn't even realize that, sorry guys.” Female admirers will be pleased that he added, "That's not what I was going for, a long time coming, guys. Why didn't anyone tell me?” Bieber quickly moved the ring from his wedding ring finger to another digit.
The engagement ring scenario follows recent rumors that Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez have been spotted looking in jewelry stores, prompting speculation that wedding bells may be in the air. Media reports say they were seen looking at expensive diamond sparklers which would make perfect engagement rings.
