Katie Melua shows off diamond engagement ring

Singer Katie Melua has been seen wearing her new diamond engagement ring for the first time recently.
Her square-cut diamond engagement ring was spotted as she played a show at Ronnie Scott’s in London. She recently got engaged to former World Superbike champion, James Toseland. He posted on his Facebook page, “I asked Katie to marry me and she said yes. As you can imagine, I am a very happy man right now!”
Melua and Toseland began dating in April 2011 after meeting at one of her concerts in Sheffield. Toseland had to give up his biking career last year due to a wrist injury. He said Melua had been a great support to him after the accident and he now works as a professional pianist.
Speaking previously about his relationship with Melua, he is quoted as saying, “Katie has been great. She had no interest in me whatsoever because I was a motorcycle racer. She hadn’t heard of me. She wouldn’t even know what Valentino Rossi looked like. “
He added, 'It was only because her piano player was such a fan that he kept talking about it on the tour bus after he’d met me.”
As well as celebrating her upcoming wedding and showing off her diamond engagement ring, Melua has also been promoting her new album, Secret Symphony.
